Whether you eat yours the Cornish way with jam then cream or slather cream on first like they do in Devon, there’s no denying that cream tea is a classic British summertime treat. This summer you can get all the fixings for your perfect cream tea delivered straight to your door, all whilst supporting medical research that’s helping to change and save children’s lives.
After the success of its first delivery in June which saw thousands of cream teas delivered to homes, schools and workplaces around the UK, Action Medical Research is gearing up for a second sweet delivery in August. Its delicious cream teas in a box contain scones, Tiptree strawberry jam, Rodda’s Cornish clotted cream, three strawberry chocolates, Yorkshire Tea and a knife and serviette.
“The reaction to our initial cream teas in a box campaign on 18th June was so overwhelming that we’ve decided to bring the deliveries back by popular demand,” says Tracey Edwards, Action’s Cream Tea Events Manager.
“All you have to do is order by Thursday 30th July and your cream tea will be delivered to your door on Friday 7th August. The minimum order is for 10 boxes, so why not get together with friends or colleagues to share a delicious treat and raise funds for sick babies and children?”
The cream teas are priced at just £6 per box and your money will help Action Medical Research’s work to change and save the lives of babies and children. The charity is currently funding research around stillbirth, epilepsy, meningitis, cerebral palsy and brain cancer, as well as some rare and distressing conditions that severely affect children.
